V:TES Links

The Not the Jyhad Deck Archive is one of the best sites anywhere for good, solid decks. If you're just starting in the game or are trying to find your feet with a new clan you couldn't want a better site.

Vampire: Elder Kindred Network is the V:TES Players' Union. Through their excellent work, a lot of good has been done for the game. Many resources can be found, including tournament rules, resources for judges and players, contact addresses for officials within the group and much more.

Wizards of the Coast are obviously an important bunch of people for V:TES' future. On their site you can find many things, including the Player Registry and a lot of other V:TES goodies.

In a similar vein, you may find White Wolf to be a useful web-site to consult. It provides excellent ideas for back-story, and can provide excellent thoughts for a deck based on a (seemingly) silly idea you see. Whilst V:TES specific content is limited on the site at the moment, it is hoped that this will be improved in the future, as White Wolf have taken over V:TES from Wizards of the Coast.

Jyhad On-Line is an excellent way of playing V:TES when unable to find a regular play-group. Eight player games allow some cards, say, Slave Auction and Parity Shift to have huge effects during the game. Early on, two, maybe three, Parity Shifts could very easily oust a Methuselah!

Related to Jyhad On-Line is a Playtest Group where a lot of fun is had thinking up cards for use in Jyhad On-Line. The Sabbat clans are expanded and improved, by adding more discipline cards. Existing clans are beefed up, and disciplines firmed up in their abilities. Much fun is had by all, though it can get a little messy during discussions.

For usenet users, rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad is a great bet. Many details of things are given out, discussions had, arguments settled (or not settled). Rulings can be had from L. Scott Johnson (LSJ), the official V:TES "netrep". Many new and innovative ideas have been pioneered by group users, and contact can be made with people from all over. If you cannot access the group directly, you may find DejaNews and Talkway to be usable methods of reading it.

LSJ has also compiled an updated rulesbook to contain the rules as they stand now.
